The High Holidays of 5786/2025 bring us together at a pivotal moment in our story.
From the lowest point in our recent history - the atrocities of October 7 - our people have risen like lions, fiercely turning the tide.

Yet with profound challenges still ahead, both in Israel and here Down Under, we are called to move forward: with faith in Hashem, with unity, and with an unwavering resolve toward  Od Yoter Tov — to build an “Even Better” tomorrow.

This is the heartbeat of our community.

This is our Hamerkaz family.

This year, we will make it Od Yoter Tov - Beyachad, together.

חגי תשרי תשפ"ו/2025 מאחדים אותנו ברגע מכריע בסיפור שלנו .
מהנקודה הנמוכה ביותר בהיסטוריה האחרונה שלנו  - זוועות השבעה באוקטובר  - קם עמנו באומץ כארי ומשנה את המגמה בעוז .

ואף כי אתגרים כבדים עוד לפנינו, בארץ ובאוסטרליה כאחד, אנו נקראים לצעוד קדימה: באמונה בה', באחדות, ובנחישות בלתי מתפשרת לבנות מחר  " עוד יותר טוב ."

The two-day holiday of Rosh Hashanah is the head of the Jewish year, the time when G‑d reinvests Himself in creation as we crown Him king of the universe through prayer, shofar blasts, and celebration. A week later, the High Holidays reach their crescendo with Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement). Like angels, we neither eat nor drink for 25 hours. Dressed in white, we pray in the synagogue—united as one people, children of One Father.
